What is Octopanel
Octopanel is your personal Octopus Energy space to track your installation progress, manage documentation, and view your invoices.
When you sign up for an installation with us — solar, battery, heat pump, or EV charger — we give you access to Octopanel so you have all the important information in one place, without unnecessary calls or emails.
What is it for?
- View the status and progress of your installation
- Upload documentation as we request it
- Download invoices, certificates, and other files
- Browse FAQs and send us suggestions
You can access it from your phone or computer browser, in Spanish or English. You only need your email address and password.
Log in
Access Octopanel with your email address and password at octo-panel.com.
To enter your panel:
- Go to octo-panel.com/en/login
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Optionally, check Remember me so you do not have to re-enter your details
- Click Log in
If your credentials are incorrect, you will see an error message. Check that your email is spelled correctly and that you are using the password you set up.
Reset password
If you do not remember your password, you can request an email link to create a new one.
Request the link
On the login screen, click Forgot your password?, enter your email address, and click Send link.
Check your inbox
You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. If you do not see it, also check spam.
Set a new password
Open the link, enter your new password (minimum 8 characters), and confirm it. Click Save password.
Log in again
You will see a confirmation message. Click Go to login and enter your email and new password.
Home — My installations
When you enter Octopanel, the Home section shows a summary of your installations and their current status.
After logging in you will see a personalized greeting and, if we have it on file, the address associated with your profile. Below you will find My installations.
What information you will see for each installation
- Status — which phase of the process your installation is in
- CUPS — identifier code for your electricity supply
- Type and capacity — panels, battery, heat pump, or EV charger
- Information banners — for example, the scheduled date or when the installation has been completed
If you have several installations, you will see one card for each. Click on it to view more details and step-by-step progress.
Installation progress
The roadmap shows where you are in the process and what you need to do at each stage.
Within each installation you will find Installation progress. On mobile you can expand it with the question "What are the next steps in my installation?"
Each stage shows two things:
- What do you do? — actions that depend on you
- What do we do? — what the Octopus Energy team manages
Process stages (solar and heat pump installations)
1. Schedule your visit
You: Choose the day and time to speak with our team.
Us: We design the ideal installation for your home.
2. Engineering and technical report
You: You review the project and, if you wish, we help with financing.
Us: We get your project ready and optimized.
3. Permits and fees
You: You pay municipal fees and send us the receipt.
Us: We handle the administrative paperwork.
4. We plan the installation
You: You choose the best day for the installation.
Us: We prepare everything for the agreed date.
5. Installation
You: You start using your panels and pay only if everything is perfect.
Us: We get everything running and your app ready.
6. Legalization
You: You choose your ideal tariff.
Us: We manage the registration and notify you when it is approved.
7. Energy Certificate
You: You receive your certificate and take another step towards sustainability.
Us: We issue and deliver your Energy Efficiency Certificate (CEE).
Battery or EV charger installations follow a similar process with fewer stages. Check your personalized roadmap in the panel to see the stages that apply to your case.
Documents
In the Documents section you can upload paperwork as we request it and check the status of each file.
Access it from the sidebar by clicking Documents. You will find two main sections: Required documents and Installation documents.
Required documents
Depending on your installation type, we may ask for some of these documents:
- Cadastral reference
- Property tax (IBI) receipt
- Bank account certificate
- Latest payslip, pension letter, or tax return
- Processing authorization (with downloadable template)
- First occupancy license (rural land only)
- Energy Efficiency Certificate, if you already have one
- Garage cadastral reference or parking space number (EV installations)
How to upload a document
- Find the document in the required list
- Click Upload file (or Take photo from your phone)
- Select the file or drag it to the upload area
- Wait for confirmation that it uploaded successfully
Review statuses
Each document can be in one of these states:
- Pending — you have not uploaded it yet
- Under review — we have received it and our team is checking it
- Accepted — document validated successfully
Invoices and files
When available, you can download invoices, certificates, and other documents for your installation.
Within Installation documents you will find folders organized by type. Click each one to view its contents and download files.
Available document types
- Invoices — view number, date, due date, amount, and status (Draft, Sent, Overdue, Paid…). Click Download PDF to save a copy.
- CEE — Energy Efficiency Certificate in PDF
- IBI rebate — documentation related to the rebate
- EV legalization — legalization files for electric chargers
Not all documents will be available from day one: they will become active as your installation progresses. If you are expecting a file and it does not appear, check progress on Home or visit Help.
My profile, Help and Suggestions
Manage your account, find answers, and share ideas to improve Octopanel.
My profile
Access it from the user menu (top right, with your name). There you will see your personal details: name, email, phone, ID document, and address. This information is read-only; if you need to change it, contact customer service.
In the same section you can:
- Change password — enter your current and new password
- Log out — sign out of Octopanel securely
Help
In the sidebar, click Help to view frequently asked questions about installations. You can also access it from the footer via the Help & FAQs link. Expand each question to read the answer.
Suggestions (BETA)
We want to improve Octopanel with you. In the Suggestions section you can write your opinion or proposal (up to 2,000 characters) and click Send suggestion. Your feedback helps us prioritize improvements.
Language and footer
At the bottom of the panel you can switch between Spanish and English. You will also find links to our social media and legal information about data protection.
Masquerade
Internal tool for the support team to access a customer panel as if they were that user.
Masquerade lets you impersonate a customer session in Octopanel to reproduce issues, review documents, or check installation status. It is only available to internal Octopus Energy accounts.
How to access
- Log in with your internal Octopus Energy account
- At the bottom of the sidebar, click the Masquerade button
- The impersonation view will open with the user search
What you will see
When you click Masquerade you reach a screen where you can:
- Search for a customer by email or name
- Select the user and enter their panel from their perspective
- Browse Home, Documents, Help, and other sections as the customer would
How to exit Masquerade
When you finish reviewing the customer panel, use the option to return to your original session. Do not share screenshots or personal data obtained during impersonation.
